{Commentary/ramblings}

Some of these are about a year old but others are brand new! Many of these icons were made for the following icontests (whether I entered them or not): createandshine (a "crime" theme inspired all the murderous quotes),trekicontest, nexticon, landofart,tv_movie_icons, nextpicture (the ones of actors who aren't Elijah Wood are from icontests), sprntrl20in20, you_choose_ic, iconstillness, iconflashes,fringe_epic,tvpassiton - that one icontest is now closed and that LOST/Buffy quote one I dug up is really ancient. I couldn't find it posted here before. I'm calling it "icon-archaeology."
Six of the LOTR icons were made for icon_talk's July 2012 anon icon battle. It was a huge event with lots of icon makers. There were two on my team & you can view the other their lovely LOTR icons over there. That is an image heavy entry though no more so than this entry itself. There lots of variations because I've been trying to improve my iconning-skills on some of those. Others were made really fast for Land of Art & icontests (and it shows). Anyways, I've been trying to get in iconning-gear to join theiconquest like all the cool kids are doing! I love making large graphics (and I have some to post soon once Land of Art's polls are closed) but icons are so challenging. I usually find I can't express myself or make something I'm really pleased with in 100x100 pixels.
And I won't try to explain all the Elijah Wood icons. I have no explanation. ♥
